SOS is a traditional pen-and-paper game where the objective is to create the highest number of S-O-S sequences. These sequences can be formed vertically, horizontally, or diagonally. Achieving an SOS allows you to take another turn, adding a strategic layer to the gameplay.
My familiarity with this game stems from my school days, and I appreciate its challenging nature that demands keen observation and concentration.
The rules of the game are as follows and can also be referenced within the app:
- You can place either an 'S' or an 'O' in any unoccupied slot.
- Players take turns making a move.
- If a player creates an SOS sequence, they earn an extra turn. SOS sequences can be adjacent, horizontal, or vertical.
- Ultimately, the player with the most turns wins.
